Saul’s conversion is recounted three times in the Book of Acts: the first time in Acts
16, the second time in Acts , and the third time in Acts When our sovereign God
chooses to repeat events and teachings in His word, we should consider very carefully just what
He is saying to us.
At the time of Saul’s conversion, he was still thoroughly intent on persecuting the church.
He had made no decision at all to come to Christ. In Acts , we see that he was “still
breathing threats and murder against the disciples of the Lord”, and that he was on his way to
Damascus to bring back to Jerusalem in chains any followers of Christ he found there, to be
punished (See also Acts and Acts ).
Saul had heard the Gospel message. He knew what it was about, and he was opposed to
it. We see from these accounts of his conversion in the Book of Acts that he had remained

This is the galaxy we live in. The beautiful detailed spiral of the Milky Way.
Here we have taken a step back to picture the estimated ,,, galaxies of the universe; ,,, milky ways and mega milky ways scattered across the fabric of space. It is awe inspiring to reflect that the Source of the Cosmos must exist beyond all that must fill it and self-express through it. How beyond our imagining GOD the Source of the Cosmos and Everything in it must really be!
And yet for the GOD of the Universe there appears to be something about the life on planet Earth that is so attractive that the Spirit of GOD would be (in the words of the Prophet Joel and Apostle Peter) poured out on all flesh tranforming human lives and altering human gemenskap. When we experience those alterations to human lives and human society we recognize them as manifestations of “The Kingdom of God.”
