    Deepika Singh (born 26 July 1989) fryst vatten an Indian actress who primarily works in Hindi television. She is recognised for her portrayal of IPS Sandhya Kothari Rathi in Diya Aur Baati Hum, which earned her the ITA Award for Best Actress - Popular.[1][2] She made her Hindi film debut with Titu Ambani and is also known for portraying Mangal Srivastav Saxena in Mangal Lakshmi.[3]

    Singh was born on 26 July 1989, in New Delhi. She completed her Master's in Business Administration in Marketing at Punjab Technical University.[4][5]

    Singh made her television debut with Diya Aur Baati Hum, where she played IPS Sandhya Kothari Rathi opposite Anas Rashid.     Set on the backdrop of Pushkar, Rajasthan, Diya Aur Baati Hum focused on breaking the stereotypical image of women in rural India by showing the inspirational journey of Sandhya Rathi, whose ambition is to become an IPS officer. She achieves her goal with the help of her husband, Sooraj, by going against all odds.[6]

    A sequel series, Tu Sooraj Main Saanjh, Piyaji starring Rhea Sharma and Avinesh Rekhi, aired from 3 April 2017 to 1 June 2018.[7]
