    Timothy Peter Pigott-Smith (13 May 1946 – 7 April 2017) was a British film and television actor and author.     Early life and education

    Tom Goodman-Hill grew up in Northumberland,[2] and was educated at the Royal Grammar School in Newcastle upon Tyne.[1] He regularly acted in amateur performances at the People's Theatre, Newcastle upon Tyne.[3]

    Goodman-Hill earned a BA in Drama and English with a teaching qualification from the University of Warwick, where he took an active role in student drama. He spent a year as a supply teacher in Coventry before moving to London to pursue a full-time acting career.[4]
